It has always been an acronym

God has always been a profoundly powerful word throughout human history — a word that we as humans have all uttered regardless of our religious upbringing.

This piece of writing serves to encourage a deeper understanding of the divine source known as God within the context of your own meaning.

I embarked on a journey of self-love about 4 years ago. In the past year, I was led to understand the role my divine spirit plays in my existence on this earth. Through journaling, I’ve come to a beautiful epiphany that the term God is in fact an acronym inviting us to look deeper.

G.O.D = Giver Of Divinity

The divine source reigns within each one of us and can be understood as God is us and we are God. As mentioned in the bibles first book, Genesis 1:27: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” This verse speaks of humans needing to embody God's spiritual, intellectual and moral nature as presented on earth by enlightened individuals such as Jesus Christ and Buddha.

In the Oxford dictionary, “Divinity” is defined as the quality of being a god or like God; e.g, the divinity of Christ. You and I are children of this divine energy, and we emulate this nature through our thoughts, words and deeds — whether we aware of it or not.

Emulating the nature of your divine light is important to the growth of your soul’s intention. Divinity is not limited to your religious beliefs but flows in the abundance where life exists.

Think of divinity as such: you can see it in your dog, who loves you, not for your choices but because instinctively they will love you regardless of how you might treat them. A dog is living by its divinity, whereas the free will that humans have been given decides how we use our divinity to serve our beloved pet.

You can ask yourself, “Am I serving my dog from the highest form of divinity?”

Then the question is: what is the highest form of divinity? Only you can answer that. — I interpret it as love. So I would rephrase the above question as, “Am I treating my dog with the highest form of love that I possibly can?”

If you look at yourself honestly, you will see ways of improving, ceasing or continuing actions that can result in a happier dog and you.

Your divine light vibrates every day regardless of where you are on society’s spectrum of “good” or “bad”.

I’d like to end off by quoting the astoundingly talented author of Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsch who speaks of his conversation with God on a Mindvalley podcast,

“ The journey of the soul is for each expression of life to know itself in its truest identity for us to understand and to experience ourselves as individualities of divinity.

Its agenda is to be able to demostrate at the level of soul by using the tools of the body and mind to experience and express ourselves who we truly are so that divinity knows itself through you.”
